Sensei Jim Hargan (2nd Dan)
Sensei Hargan commenced his karate career at the Middlesbrough Budokan in 1973 studying Wado Ryu with Sensei Normal Wall and Sensei Cliff Richmond. Due to a knee injury when he was a 5th Kyu he had to stop training. After a long break he resumed training in 1998 with Acklam Antei Karate club under Sensei Elaine Mason and Sensei Julie Jones. His persistence was rewarded in 2003 when he was awarded his 1st Dan under the scrutiny of Sensei Mason, Sensei Jones and Sensie Harold Stephenson (5th Dan). In 1994, he opened the Scruton Antei Karate club, and in between teaching his students managed to progress his own karate career resulting in his 2nd Dan in December 2006.
